The dimension of a work of art is not proportional to its power and validity as an artistic object. The small format is often used by authors as a synonym for recollection, the consummation of an idea, but also as a living document of the creative process. Generally, more intimate works reveal the author's processes and criteria.

By their nature, small-scale works encourage the act of collecting, promote research on the part of the collector and our need to know and want more. The exhibition now presented, Small Things to Collect, has this curatorial aim, to awaken a reflection on collecting. Moreover, it gives galleries an active role in the dialogue between the creative dynamics of their authors and the public perception.
